Meet Dominique Scales
As a proud native Texan, Dominique brings a decade of coaching expertise to the court, with six of those years spent as a dedicated head coach at the high school level. His commitment to player development and success has left an indelible mark on the athletes he’s worked with.
- Player Development: Dominique has guided and mentored nearly 40 players who have gone on to play collegiately or professionally. His keen eye for talent and ability to nurture potential have been instrumental in shaping successful careers.
- Professional Experience: Having played overseas professionally and in the G-League for eight years, Dominique understands the game from both sides of the court. His firsthand experiences enrich his coaching approach, allowing him to connect with athletes on a deeper level.
- Educator and Communicator: Dominique considers himself not just a coach, but a true teacher of the game. He leverages his personal journey to effectively communicate strategies, techniques, and the nuances of basketball to the next generation.
- Passion for Progress: Dominique's ultimate goal is to contribute to the growth of basketball. By imparting knowledge, fostering teamwork, and instilling a love for the game, he ensures that the legacy of basketball continues to thrive.
Dominique and his wife, Lauren, have two sons, Oaklyn and Maxwell, and reside in McKinney.
